Vertu’s solid gold Boucheron 150
December 11th, 2008 by Paul Briggs

Vertu’s been known for releasing high priced cell-phones touted as luxury phones, but today luxury phones have met an all new standard.
Recently announced by Vertu is the solid-gold (yes made from a brick of gold) Boucheron 150, pictured above. Not only is it gold, the keypad’s made of sapphires, even the case is made from high-priced Noce Pedullo walnut tree wood.
Over 2,000 man hours were put into this phone, and if the $30,000+ price tag circulating the internet is to be believe, if the designer was to get 100% of the prices selling point that would be less than $15 an hour. Bummer.
