High End Home Sales Rose In May Over Previous Month

A shocking note, but a welcome one, it seems luxury homes are finally on the rise back up in sales, at least in some areas of California. Million dollar home sales rose in May compared to April’s numbers, but they are still well off 2008 sales numbers. The median sale price for these homes was $1.41 million up nine percent over April’s $1.3 million.
The California statistics listed above include a home out of Monte Sereno that sold for $4 million and another in Los Altos selling for about the same. Palo Alto is the area with the most luxury homes sold this year, followed by Los Altos and San Jose.
