Elvis Presley’s 10ct Diamond Concert Gift Ring To Be Auctioned

October 29th, 2009 by Brian

An original and unique piece of Elvis Presley memorabilia will be auctioned of this December 6, 2009. The item is the Elvis Presley’s 10ct Diamond Concert gift ring, a gift to consignor Mr. Lloyd Perry handed by Elvis himself in Asheville NC last July 24, 1975. The story behind how he got this ring was quite inspiring though. Apparently during that time, Elvis had tossed his Gibson guitar and Perry got it. He strummed it for a while and then gave it to the man behind him. Elvis saw this and felt Perry should get something. And as you would guess, he got this 10ct diamond concert gift ring.

The ring has 19 four-prong set diamonds in total. I wonder how much that ring would cost now. However, you can bet it won’t come cheap! The guitar alone cost $16,000 back then, you can imagine the price tag the ring had. And with its rarity, it could balloon into millions at the auction!
