Golden Opulence Sundae for $1,000
August 30th, 2010 by Paul Briggs
Wearing gold has become pretty old, now go for tasting gold. Yes, at Serendipity 3, the New York City eatery, you can literally eat gold for $1000. The restaurant’s golden opulence sundae is covered in 23-carat edible gold leaf and chunks of rare Chuao chocolate from Venezuela.
The classic sundae finds its royalty in one of the world’s most expensive chocolates, from Amedei Porcelana, gold covered almonds and marzipan cherries. The harmonious blend of fine ingredients and gold power is served in a Baccarat crystal goblet with an 18-carat gold spoon.
