Aurora Can See The Time Through a Face-less Watch
March 2nd, 2010 by Paul Briggs
Back when you were in the school yard, you would look at the pretend watch on your arm and say, the time is half a hair passed a freckle. Who would have thought, that someone would actually crystalized that idea into reality. Introducing, the latest in bizarre watch designs to date, this one pictured, by the Aurora Watch company with a unique idea from designer Jihun Yeom.
The watch’s main concept is a faceless design that indicates the time using lasers. The lasers are activated when the beval edge around the watch ring is tapped. A red laser specifies the minutes, while a blue beam indicates the hour. Not so good, for thoes of us that are color blind. You guessed it, with a see-through watch face, you do see the wearer’s arm underneath the watch, hairs and all. At this stage, there are no further details about how the concept would actually work. The Aurora Watch would definitely be a talking point plus a lovely piece of jewellry to wear.
