$300,000 Yacht Up Goes in Flames; On Purpose?

October 11th, 2009 by Brian

The worst thing that can happen to any piece of property is to lose it through a calamity. And for a $300,000 yacht to go up in flames is certainly a bitter pill to swallow. That is the case for this docked yacht at the inner-Sydney bay which took a severe hit when flames caused heavy damage to this $300,000 worth yacht. The yacht was either a Formula or Cigarette type.

There was no clear indication on what caused the fire although local resident claim they heard an explosion. There was a white car reportedly seen fleeing the Rozelle Bay Superyacht Marina moments after the 11-metre yacht caught alight about 3am. If you want to do some detective work, this seems to be done on purpose. Insurance claims perhaps? Well that all depends on the police report which authorities have ruled now as a crime scene.
