$300,000 Parking Spot
June 14th, 2009 by Simon Salt
Boston real estate officials have reported an anonymous buyer has set a city record by paying $300,000 for a private parking space. It appears to be the most expensive parking space in Boston’s history, according to Debra Sordillo of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, who brokered the deal.
Sordillo said several residents at 48 Commonwealth Ave. had engaged in a bidding war for the space thus forcing the asking price of $250,000 up to the record-breaking $300,000. This choice space is in a neighborhood just a block from the Public Garden, where parking spots are in short supply
